Behind the scenes: an internal tool we built for remote collaboration, developed by Rectangle
Year of Weather
The Year of Weather is a durational inquiry into our changing relations to weather and climate. We are building a living, collective map of planetary weather.
Drawing from our past work building and activating a network of DIY Satellite Ground Station operators to image the earth and its weather systems, in the Year of Weather we ask: how do we read satellite images? By extension, how do we read the weather? How might we foreground a plurality of ways of reading and writing weather that include but exceed scientific knowledge of weather and climate?
The Year of Weather is a project by open-weather in collaboration with Rectangle.
