Ujazdowski Castle for Contemporary Art Residency

For three months in Spring 2022, open-weather was in residence at Ujazdowski Castle for Contemporary Art in Warsaw, Poland.

During our residency, we developed open-weather apt, our accessible, browser based satellite image decoder for all practitioners.

We also led a DIY satellite ground station workshop at Ujazdowski Castle with Olga Miękus, Karolina Pawelczyk and Kuba Szreder. Olga, Karolina and Kuba travelled to Opolno-Zdrój, a former spa town located at the edge of the infamous Turów coal mine in Southwestern Poland, to set up a DIY satellite ground station and collect images with primary school children. The ground station is currently maintained by a Geography teacher in the local school.
