Exhibition at Getxophoto

Open-weather exhibited in the Galerías Punta Begoña at Getxophoto International Image Festival.

Two works were presented in conversation: the COP26 Nowcast under the title, ‘When I image the earth, I imagine another’ and the ‘Impossible weather station’.

Translated into a site specific installation, ‘When I image the earth, I imagine another’ filled the windows of Punta Begoña gallery, overlooking the sea. The transparent prints were created from the composite imagery of the COP26 nowcast and named after DIY satellite ground station operators. Adjacent, the ‘Impossible Weather Station’ was a tactical space for creating images of weather in collaboration with the public over the course of the festival. The station was operated by María Salazar Riaño, who also printed impossible weather reports (Informe Meteorológica Imposible) for visitors to take home.
