I watched and I waited as you were set to fly by
A perfect night for reception, as we had a clear sky
As you grew near, there wasn't a peep
all of your speaking instruments were all fast asleep
You are right over head! But the static remains
I messed with the volumes, I messed with the gains
I watched on my tracker as you slowly flew by
my S-meter grounded, the waterfall was dry
We bid you farewell, oh watcher of the sky
and I will always remember you, as you silently fly by
